I myself use the pro-97,2051,51 and the 2096 will be on my desktop soon i have a lot of older ones that i no longer use but they still work. I have not bought a good antenna for my home yet i did buy the pro-comm spider, put it and i took it down the same day it did not seem to work that well.

Yeah, what scanner would you recommend that is mobile and that can trunk? Or can you use the pro-97 in the car???? I like listening to my scanner mainly in my car but sometimes in my house.

yes, it just wont trunk right any more it will still work fine on non trunk mode, they are only rebanding 800mhz, and at this time it most likely happen in the seattle area for a year or so, they say next year but i would not bet on it. any i belive that the 97 can be sent back for some kind of cpu replacement they are saying it will be around $50 for that mod to the pro-97

I've got a pro-97 and love it! Gets great reception here in tacoma for what i need....But then again this is my first new scanner....I had an old one that was a Base 12 channel IIRC that used crystals that i got from my grandpa! Worked fine up until a few years ago....

I usually use Monitoring Times as a source foe Mil frequency listings. I also searched the web for Whibey, Fort Lewis, McChord AFB and up and away frequencies.
My Discone is a Radio Shack, Scanner Beam is Grove. Cawby's web site has a ton of data on it.

Maybe some of you would like to join the PDX Milcom group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pdxmilcom/

There are over 100 people there but only 3 or 4 post anything, so we could use some help. Don't be shy, OK I'll start. Tuesday night at 5:45 MAINE 91, a KC-135, took off from McChord and headed south. Last heard him on Seattle Center 119.65.

Thank you.
