I searched around and it looks like the answer to my questions is no. But I still wanted to ask the group in case anyone may know of another program, or plug in, or way to do it. Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this.

I’m on the road right now, so hopefully somebody else will post the name of it. There is a plug-in Sdr sharp that will allow you to manually enter frequencies and scan just those freqs. You can even create groups and store frequencies within those groups

So the plugin I use on sdr# 1742 is called frequency manager. Pretty basic. Lets you create groups and populate with freqs of choice. I also use another called frequency scanner that lets you define scan ranges. Not sure what version of sdr# your running. Plugin compatibility has changed over the years. This is what the freq manger I use looks like.

SDR++ has built in scanner that only does range of frequencies. But it has rigctl that allows to be controlled by other software.
I use it sometimes together with DSD-FME to scan some frequencies of interest.

So it's about 5 hours into this latest effort...

Deleting and reinstalling Sharp, adding my frequency lists one by one (twice, as I didn't realize each "frequency Manager" plug-in is it's own animal...) and I've gotten to where I scan banks of frequencies that I have entered using the manager you are using.

Latest problem: I cannot change the "Mode" when I enter a frequency. Every time I try to add a new one, or edit an existing one - mine is stuck in mode: AM. Your example has it in NFM, so apparently iit can be changed - but I'm missing something... I'm out of ideas - you have any?

You have to tune to the freq using the parameters you wish, ie: NFM. Then when you select New, it should save as that.

Argh, I was just typing them in from a list.... But now:

Seems to be working well. Fingers crossed I don't screw something up.

On the plus side, when I reinstalled Sharp, the download had all the plugins in it already. For whatever reason, my first try didn't have any and it was a pain trying to add them in.

I was playing around with that as well. It locked up the Sharp program a couple of times, and I couldn't figure out how to enter "banks" or lists of frequencies to scan as a group.

Sunday was an adventure, but it's the only way I learn - push through and ask for help as little as possible. Feel like I'm probably asking the same questions others have before and I don't want to wear out the welcome too soon. (I do search the forums before bugging though).
