Just dusted my scanner off after several years.

When scanning a list, it will stop on a signal, but then never continue onto the next. Is this normal operation?

If I push the up/down it will go to next. (though with messing around, now it just goes up one step in freq and not to next signal)
(maybe I'm just used to how my ham rigs work on scan, where it finds a signal, pauses for a bit then goes on. interaction need to keep it 'on station'.)

It sounds like one or more of the other lists has either been locked out somehow or is not otherwise selected for scanning. That's why you can manually select it.

Starting with the basics, did you press SCAN and see Scanning in the second row of the display?

When it stops on a signal, what does it display on the second row, left side?

Is your squelch constantly open (S next to the signal strength bars)?
