Hello fellow scanners. I know that the Schenectady County Airport uses 121.900 Mhz AM mode for ground control at their airport. My question is, does anyone know of a military Ground Control Frequency Used at the Schenectady County Airport, meaning one in the 225-400 Mhz Am mode Mil-Air range. I have been to many airshows at the Schenectady County Airport and I have heard civilian aircraft use 121.900 for ground control, but when a military aircraft starts taxiing around the airport I do not hear them on 121.900 Mhz. I know that other airports use a civilian 118-137 Mhz ground control frequency as well as a military 225-400 Mhz ground control frequency. So in closing does anyone know of a military air ground control frequency used at the Schenectady County Airport.

Thank you all in advance for any help.

They may not use one. Have you tried the UHF Tower frequency? If there isn't a lot of mil traffic, they may not have a dedicated UHF Ground/Clearance/etc...

Fellow scanner. There is a lot of activity on the tower frequency of 321.100 Mhz, however with the civilian air ground control frequency 121.900 and the civilian air tower frequency 121.300 which are 2 totally different types of comms, you dont get that when listening to the UHF mil-air tower frequency of 321.100. I know that the Albany Airport which is not far away from the Schenectady County Airport is set-up like this.

Ground Control 121.700 / 348.600

Tower 119.500 / 257.800

So I just thought that the Schenectady County Airport would have the same kind of set-up since they do have an Air National Guard base at Schenectady for the C-130 and LC-130 Hercules cargo planes. So my main question was why does Schenectady not have both a civilian and military ground control frequency, they have both civilian and military tower frequencies.

Maybe not enough traffic. Here is the data from the DoD FLIP:
COMMUNICATIONS - CTAF - 121.3 UNICOM - 122.95 AWOS-3 - 119.275
ALBANY APP/DEP - (R) (E) 118.05 226.8 TWR - (E) 121.3 321.1
ANG OPS COMD POST - 140.45 251.25 291.9 REMARKS: (Call SKIER)
FSS-NEW YORK ISP-NOTAM SCH

Call the airport manager and ask. Monitor and see where the C-130's are going for ground. My guess is that it all comes down to money. And there isn't enough traffic to get a dedicated UHF ground. Probably because the aircraft C-130 are V/UHF equipped.

Here's another example. KSFO in San Francisco:
COMMUNICATIONS - UNICOM - 122.95 ATIS - 113.7 115.8 118.85 135.45 REMARKS:
C650-877-3585/8422. AWOS-1 - 118.05 ASOS - REMARKS: C650-872-0246.
NORCAL APP - (R) (E) 125.35 133.95 251.05 310.8 338.2 (125.35 NE-E Class B Airspace)
TWR - (V) 120.5 269.1 GND - 121.8 128.65 NORCAL DEP - (R) (E) 120.9 135.1 307.2
323.2 (120.9 323.2 NW-E) (135.1 307.2 SE-W) CLNC DEL - 118.2 USCG - 345.0 REMARKS:
Call SAN FRAN AIR. FSS-OAKLAND OAK-NOTAM SFO

Note there is a UHF Tower, but no ground...
