the scotts bluff county phase ii system is now live and sending out control channel data. i am detecting state system talk groups on the system.

Is this system part of the statewide system? I see they have the same system ID. The last time I was there I was told that the new countywide system would be part of the state system??? That may be why there is state traffic coming through. Haven't been there in a few months to test out anything, only going on what I was told the last time I was there.

yes its part of the state system. scottsbluff county talk groups including fire and ems are / will be full time encryption.

Ok. The reason I was asking was because the database has the scottsbluff system as a standalone system and not part of the statewide system

They probably won't do anything unless somebody makes a submission.

well it appears scotts bluff county is going full time across the board encryption even on fire and ems. pd and all fire except city of scottsbluff are still in the clear as of now but will be going sooner than later.

looks like scanning public safety in scotts bluff county will be over soon.

all we can hope is in the name of transparency we get a delayed official feed from the county voluntarily or some politician gets the idea to push legislation to force Nebraska public safety systems to either leave dispatch channels in the clear in the name of transparency or provide a delayed feed..

I'm sure in the county of scotts bluff neither scenario will happen but one can dream and hope.
