Has Anyone noticed SCPD on 155.685 again. Pulled out and old radio today and heard the simulcast. Havent listened to this in years.
i do not that was the original frequency when scpd was on vhf prior to trunking has to be at least 20 yars ago or more where are you listening from I have no pl programmed just open coming in dfq in massapequa on mobile unit with 5/8ths vhf mag mountThat frequency isn’t listed in the DB do you have a PL ? I’m not near my scanner now
DIDNT REALIZE TYIt was offline for quite some time but was turned on again at some point this summer
I see it is already licensed to NYSP effective 9/07/2024. Multiple sites in Suffolk and Nassau.SCPD is giving up the old Command Vhf 155.685 to the NYSP, because their Vhf is getting interference.
FCC wanted the freq to have activity on it. So, in the meantime - SCPD is patching Command on 800 trunked with the old Command Vhf.
Its TX only (off the Hauppauge Tower), but all the receivers are off, so you can't talk in on Vhf.
Brings back memories for a lot of us..
It's a daily occurrence up here that I get interference from Troop L while listening to Troop K on 155.505 PL110.9 because Troop L has the exact same frequency as PL. I'm sure Troop L is getting interference from Troop K as well. Good Move.SCPD is giving up the old Command Vhf 155.685 to the NYSP, because their Vhf is getting interference.
Noticed on the fcc listing it’s also licensed for p25 conventional?
Adding P25 as an option is pretty much standard on any new or modified Public Safety licenses. It does not imply any immediate plans to use it.Noticed on the fcc listing it’s also licensed for p25 conventional?
