SDR# & DSD working by not decoding Audio

Hi everybody,

I am trying to decode DMR/Mototrbo with SDR and DSD Plugin. I have SDR# v1.0.0.1732, DSDPlus and VirtualCable, i have more than 10 DMR signals, decoding still working but i dont get the audio. I made a lot of test with SDR, DSDP and Audio and everthing seems fine.

Test#1: DMR Signals from SDR (More than 10 frequencies)
Test#2: DMR Signals from 2 Handy in the same Digital Channel, TG, Differents ID: Motorola DGP 8550 and TYT MD-UV380.

SDR#
- 2.4MSPS, 37.2dB, NFM, Bandwidth 12.5Khz
- SDR Audio output to VB-Audio Virtual Cable Input

DSDPlus
- Decoder Option: DMR/MotoTRBO or AutoDetect (I have tried both ways)
- Input audio from VB-Audio Virtual Cable Output (Device #3)
- Output audio to Speakers (Device #1)
-> Create Command Line

DSD show Talkgroups, ID, and all information of decoding but i do not get audio. (Just for 1 or 2 seconds i hear something but is not a constant audio). I check the DSD Input audio from VirtualCable Output and seems ok.

What i am doing wrong? Need help guys.

Casual nitpicking.
I would turn squelch off.
None of the activity in left side screen show voice channel decodes, its all data as if parked on control channel
Event log show audio files recored, have you listened to them?

Why not use it as intended, with FMP or FMPA as the audio source? If that works then you know the issue is with SDR# or VAC. Also, your bandwidth setting is too high for DMR in SDR# (should be 7600).

No matter how much somebody finds that DSDPlus "plugin" for SDRSharp useful, it's a royal pain in the arse when it comes to support. DSDPlus has never made any claim that it works with any sort of SDR# Plugin. And future DSDPlus versions could change and break the SDRSharp plugin.

People really need to stop using SDRSharp with DSDPlus altogether, and use FMPA/FMP24 + DSDPlus like @Forts mentioned. Or, at the very least, if they are going to use SDR# + DSDPlus they should forget about that darned plugin. After all, the plugin author is not the one who ends up having to answer questions about the plugin misbehaving.

SDR# can be fun to use with DSD+ (I like the ability to remotely connect to various Airspy devices around the US). I can then take that data and pipe it to DSD+. But! You need a working baseline to begin with. I've never bothered with any of those plugins that people seem to use, it's just another possible point of failure along the path.

I do the same thing (just wish there were more Airspy non-HF+ around). And I also just use SDRSharp + VB Cable + DSDplus, no plugins.

AMEN!!!!

The DSD+ plugins do NOT work!!!! (There are 2 and they both suck).

If you HAVE to use SDR# - VBCable - DSD+ then just set audio out to VB Cable in SDR# and forget about the plugin.

Plumbers nightmare.

Use FMPx with DSD+ it is designed to work PROPERLY!

Thank you very much for everyone. I am testing with FMP and SDR# without plugin, directly from command line but i get the same error, i have a great signal, decoding TG and RID but not decoding audio.

This is what i receive. "Not using DSD Plugin"


Can anyone share to me a mp4 file audio with DMR to check if everything is fine? Any other idea?

I hate to ask the obvious, but is the output of DSD+ routed to your speakers? When you launch it from the command line it will say which output device it's using.

Hi Forts, yes my friend i be sure of that.
* SDR# output to Virtual Cable Input
* Virtual Cable Output to DSDPlus Input
* DSDPLus Output to Speakers.

Speakers are working ok, i use for all. I test every audio point and i get de DMR frame in the DSDPlus Input, and get information. Additionally, I can hear something for moments of very short time, I can hear the voice but it gets interrupted, the message i can't hear or understand.

Any DSD special configuration in command line?
