SDR Trunk Tuner Help

I working on fine tuning my SDR Trunk Calls feed and the feed sounds choppy like it keeps dropping the call, need some help maybe the tuner needs retuned SDR Error.png

Play with the ppm. Try to get as close to 0.0 as you can. Also post pics of your programming and an active control channel on the spectrum.

Just an FYI, since you are trying to monitor the Findlay site, you are going to likely require 3 dongles. One dongle for 800 mhz coverage and two for 700 mhz coverage. That's because there is a 2.95 mhz swath that you need to cover (774.28125-771.33125) and the tuner at its default of 2.4 msps is not going to cover all of the 800 mhz freqs -- meaning you will miss transmissions.

I keep my auto adjust PPM turned on, gain settings are also important to dial in. Too much or too little gain is a problem. If your signals are weak I recommend a low noise amplifier https://amzn.to/4jIZyU0

I found It's also important to find your center frequency as it doesn't always do this on its own. Go to this site and enter all the frequencies your dongle will be using, set the sample rate and click submit. It will give you your center frequency (along with other info) that you can set your dongle to. iCAD TR Config Generator
