SDRplay API

I'm in a predicament,,, I am using a RSPduo as my SDR. My version of DSD+ Fast Lane needs SDRplay API v3.06 in order to work while my SDRuno software needs v3.09 to work. When I installed API v3.06 in order to run DSD+ it uninstalled API v3.09 so that I cannot run SDRuno. And vice versa, when I install API v3.09 again it uninstalls API v3.06 so that I cannot run DSD+.

I am using DSD+ 2.228 and am unable to unlock the latest version with my previous password. It's been several years since I've used DSD+.

If anyone has a brilliant idea on how I can install both API v3.06 and v3.09 for the different programs please reply.

Im actually running API 3.11 and Im able to use the dsdplus with fastlane on my RSP1A & RSPdx but I cant use the older RSP1. I dont have a duo but I would think it would work 3.09 even though the DSDPlus program calls for v3.06. Im using DSD+ 2.395 and it says I need at least API 3.07.

As far as having 2 different API's install on the same computer, I dont think it can be done (as far as I know of)

You could buy one of the RTL-SDR's for like $30 off of amazon and install ZADIG and use the FMP24-CC.bat...just be sure you dont get a cheap clone of the RTL-SDR which I hear isnt worth a whole lot

You can install another copy of Windows on a virtual machine and use the other version of the API. But it's a PITA. Perhaps the developers of DSD will update their program for the current API.

Don't hold your breath. It's been almost a year since the latest DSDPlus update. Next update (if ever there is one) better be substantial. Fingers crossed this doesn't become abandonware

The emails I receive (back in 2018) contain a link to download the update and a ZIP file password, which is the same for each update I received.

It seems that my problem is that I cannot extract the updated DSD+ ZIP file. The DSD+ program will download the latest update (2p395) and when I extract it I need a password and the password I enter on the extraction program is the one I previously used when the updates were sent by email with a link to download. Something changed between 2018 and now where it seem I need a different password. Compounding the problem is that the email address used to received DSD updates is one that I no longer use.

Its the same password.

Not sure what your using to unzip but try these that are mentioned in a different thread.

You have to download it, unzip it (with winrar or 7zip) using the password originally sent to you in email, extracting it to your DSDPlus folder and overwriting any older data in there.

I only use 7zip

I'm using 7zip. I select the file (DSDPlus2p395.zip) > Extract > Enter password (cut and paste from old email) > OK > goes the extracting process then returns a message "Wrong password: DSDPlus.exe & Notes.txt"

So I go to my browser and enter: https://www.dsdplus.com/dsdplusuploads/FastLane/wSvxHpTyus_DSDPlus2p395.zip

and I get this:

My records indicate I paid $25 to DSDPLUS Fast Lane in 2017.

Also, if I just try to download the file from the link (right click>save linked content. It does not find the file, like it does not exist. Is your link to the file the same as mine (above)??

Most of the link is the same. I believe the random letters have to do with each specific user.
