I’ve had the scanner for a while. Don’t use it too much, occasionally to follow Lake and Porter County Indiana. Turned it on last night when the tornadoes were happening and got nothing.
Scans, but never has signal strength or data.
I do receive the weather channel signal and occasionally Porter County fire, which are vhf.
I have reformatted the SD card with Sentinel and reloaded database and favorites.
Firmware was updated, main is 1.26.01 sub is 1.03.15
Squelch is set at 2.
Correct service types are selected.

What am I missing? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Assuming you're scanning Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T it's highly recommended to only scan one site and nothing else: Site Hold. The scanner needs to stay held on the site to acquire a signal from the control channel and therefore bring in traffic. Scanning trunked and conventional traffic at the same time won't bring good results & it is often recommended to use more than one radio for this purpose

I tried that, even on an active channel (verified with app on phone)

Before you ship it to Uniden Support take a drive with the scanner and drive near the nearest tower site to see if it is a range issue if it still does not work it is a trip to Texas.

While we await your Sentinel export, have you checked every control channel on whatever site(s) you're having trouble bringing in via quick search (press Channel soft key, enter frequency, press channel again) to make sure you have a reliable signal? You need to make sure you have every control channel programmed in otherwise you won't be able to bring the site if the active CC is missing from your programming

No. I got out of scanning when trunking was starting up, previous scanner was a BC 100XLT, so this new stuff is way beyond what I had to do to program that.

Regarding Lake County: Check each of these frequencies following the guidance I gave you in my previous post. One of them should be the active control channel. If you're not seeing control data from any of these 4 then you may not be in range
772.84375, 773.44375, 773.99375, 774.71875

Per the RRDB Porter County operates on Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T. I'm not seeing this anywhere in your programming. In Sentinel you'll need to navigate to USA > Indiana > Porter > Statewide > Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T and append this to your FL. You'll then need to go through and remove every site except for Porter County Simulcast

You have so many systems in the favorites list that you are lucky if you hear anything. Try holding on the Lake Co system. I suggest you change the filter from Global to Wide Invert for the Lake Co site. I often have good results using that filter on sites with 700 MHz frequencies. As Whiskey3JMC stated, Porter Co uses the Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T statewide trunked system.
