When you click on the link it gives you the option of ordering it in a 3,6,10 or 15 Ft length. I ordered the 6 Ft length.

Typical Amazon. Their links are not always clear-cut when there are more than one options from the same source.

I have a couple of the 6ft Monoprice cables. Had them for several years. Both still work as they did when brand new. No problems at all.

I use this one at work along with a three foot programming cable that I already had. Haven't had any problems with it.

My 2¢. Just use an 8 ft 110v extension cord and use what you got. No need to buy anything

It was some law in California, I don't know if it's still active, that forbid charging while a device where powered on. Probably to prevent overheating and a potential risk of fire. It seems like a ridiculous law from a technical perspective so it has probably been removed.

But Upmans explanation of disabling recording without a battery in a portable scanner where the risk of file corruption if the 5V power where removed. But the same risk applies to a 12v powered scanner that doesn't have any battery inside.

Ubbe - I live in California. Most laws they come up with out here are, at best, "an answer in search of a question."

The rest are perfectly useless nonsense that should not even be discussed, much less voted upon, and are shining examples of why a full-time legislature should never have been allowed.

That link is for a 3 foot cable, You indicated previously you wanted something longer.

If you look closely at that page, you'll see that you can select various lengths by clicking the little box for the desired length.
