Dave, I think his issue may be he does not understand how the quick keys are noted on the scanner's display.

The above statement explains what I am seeing, does not make sense to me the way it is displayed. I have no intention to post my programming here.

Seems that way. The first post made it seem like he could not program the fav with 10.

I made my own Nationwide fav lists and FRS, GMRS MURS and CB are in my scanner and that fav list is quick key 10. I elected to only quick key the favorites list and the systems in that list. I did not do any department quick keys. I also stick quick key values in the tags/alpha text to make life easy while on the scanner.

Think this scanner is overkill for me. Think I will list it in the classifieds.

LOL... it's "overkill" for most users, including me!

Don't get offended OP, but... it's reading right, you're just not reading it right...

Don't give up, half the fun is learning to program the radio and learning to use all the features and functions. Then messing up and starting all over again, tweaking and changing everything as you learn.

The one thing that has enhanced my "skills" was mentioned in a previous post... Marks Scanners webpage.

I also think the 150 is "overkill" for me as well and I like tinkering with computers and scanners to see how they tick. I have learned a lot about the SDS series radios just trying to get the darn thing right. There are a lot of helpful sites out there, Mark's Scanners being one of the really good ones, but on the other hand, I can understand that the frustration level can go through the roof when you just want the darn thing to work!

@prima19rider I understand if you want to sell the 150 on the classifieds. Should be able to get a good amount of money off of it. If you decide to keep it, we will be more than happy to help as much as we can. A little more difficult if we can't see your programming, but I understand and respect your decision in that regard.

Whichever option you go with - sell or keep - I wish you the best and am here if you have any additional questions or concerns! :D
