Sds100 belt clip

Hi. Ive been told by Uniden that this belt clip will work on the sds100 if i remove the screw on the back of it. What do u guys think?

And how is that clip going to replace the SDS100's... That looks like a one piece design that uses the two screws to mount it...

I gotta take out the screw and the stud off and then put the screw into the other belt clip and screw it on.

Looks like 1 screw on scanner and 2 on clip. I’m going to go with a NO.

That belt clip only mounts with those 2 screws... No place on the scanner to do that...


If your talking about using just the top hole to do that... I would not trust that... For one you will loose any swival capability...
I can also see that snapping with pressure on it...

I dont want swivel in the first place.

I was gonna use middle top hole in the belt clip.

I guess not. Any more suggestions?

Buy a carrying case. It will offer real protection and a better option for portability.

I already have a case for it and it doesnt have a belt clip.

I'm sure it would work...
Just remember, the SDS100's clip protrudes out further from the back of the case... That helps with the BIG battery...

Plus the SDS's belt clip has a loop on the bottom so as not to slip off of your belt...

I only saw cases without belt clips on the scanner websites. The one i have will let me use the belt clip on the scanner because it's open in the back hooks on to the antenna.
