On 10/30/2025, through Etsy, I ordered a charging stand for my SDS100 from CWAG Products. I received an order confirmation immediately with an estimated delivery of 4 - 7 days. I start tracking my package via USPS. Label created. So far, so good. Fast forward to today. Item has still not arrived. Tracking shows that it has travelled from Sacramento, CA, where it vacationed for several days, to NJ for a couple days, finally to Albany, NY after which it went back to Sacramento. It then left Sacramento again, stopped in NJ, ooooh so close but then went to Cincinnati, OH. I gave up and canceled the order. I’ll start looking again today for another source. I’m open to any suggestions.

I would not blame who you bought the item from...

That's USPS's fault...
I had a package come from California a couple of years ago... They screwed that one up royal...
It went to several cities in my state before they finally got it right... Three weeks later...
I was not a happy camper to say the least...

Over the years, I've had all three major package folks parade my packages across the country before delivering them. I've learned to accept it because stuff happens. What's equally irritating are those companies who fill out shipping paperwork then throw the package in the corner for a day or two (or three or four) before they take to the carrier. The package will sit around all that time but, in the meantime, they've notified you that the package has been "shipped" while they're using your package as a doorstop.

Charging stand? If your referring to the EBC100. Amazon and bearcat.com have them listed for $74.99 and in stock. Free shipping thru amazon. Bearcat.com free shipping $99.99 or more.

I am guessing he means something more like this. Had not seen one of those that integrates the charging cable. There are a million versions of these sorts of things on etsy and even on eBay.

I personally am not into the whole 3D printing thing, so I am grateful that people who are into that design and print and sell stands like this. I have desk stands for my SDS100s and even a simple car cupholder stand that works great. Really wish I could find something like that for my KNG radios.

Ah USPS, there's your problem.

Bought an HF portable Chameleon Antenna (around $550.00) a year or so back. Chameleon Antennas, based in Nevada, shipped it via priority 2-Day shipping. It crossed the US in one day then disappeared into the USPS Baltimore Sorting Office, which must be some kind of black hole for packages. Nothing happened for many, many days. Don't bother calling USPS, they never pick up, I mean never. Filed a missing package report and was told "we'll look into it". Followed the tracking data and eventually it was spat out of Baltimore only to return again several days later and go AWOL once again. Almost a month later it emerged again and ended up in a USPS office midway between Baltimore and Frederick and, from the tracking data, stayed there for several days. I did eventually get someone to pick up at that office and they said "we'll take a look". When they got back to me was told, "oh, it's been lying around here for several days, it should never have come here, we'll send it on". Just over a month later it arrived.

I hate using USPS.
Of the carriers, UPS seems to be the most reliable.
Thankfully Amazon ships almost all my orders using their own delivery system = get precise tracking information and accurate delivery times to within a couple of hours. If there's going to be a delay, Amazon immediately alerts me.

You ever see the LIVE GPS tracking of the Amazon delivery vehicle when about 10 stops away from you?

Oh yeah, love watching that on the Amazon map, they even sometimes provide the name of the driver/delivery man/woman.

There's a reason Amazon is the Gold Standard for consumer service.
From Jeff, the company motto = "At Amazon, it's always Day One, because if it's ever Day Two, it will signal either the long slow decline of the company or a fast one".

I have seen and used the Live GPS with Amazon. I watched the truck drive on two streets near my house and make it to my street. I live two houses from a corner intersection. The truck made a delivery....pulled up to the stop sign (I watched it stop) and make a right turn. Whaaaaaaat??? I decided to watch on the screen where they were headed. First stop, a gas station approximately 12 blocks away. Time there, about seven minutes. Truck icon on the screen starts moving again. It traveled probably another 12 blocks to another gas station. In their defense it was a QT and anyone that knows QT knows they are a great place for lunch. The truck sat there for about 25 minutes when it started moving again. Lunch time over! Finally made its way to my side of the stop sign and made my delivery. And to think the truck was about 120 feet from my front door. Talk about ooooh so close. Ha!
