Why does sentinel seem to get stuck when I'm updating the database on my SDS100? I download the update to Sentinel first, then when I go to write to the scanner it gets stuck at the level seen in the attached picture IMG_20251013_172827.jpg

Sounds like maybe a corrupt SD card or bad cable. Try a different cable or reformat/replace the SD card. Does your SDS100 show up in the Windows File Explorer when it's in Mass Storage Mode?

Yes, it shows up in the file explorer. Cable is brand new. I just dia read from scanner first and it worked that time.

If you wait long enough it will come up with an error number and probably some text that helps you identify the problem.

To check the SD card you can use any of the SD card formatter programs that writes data to each cell, overwrite mode, that will show if any cell are bad and flag it as non usable to not be included in the memory area being used. Then write a new programming and DB to it.

What version of Sentinel is that in your picture above...
I don't see anything that looks like that when writing to the scanner...

As in this ---- Pre.jpg

Thats the first time I seen that... Or noticed it...
What I posted was slightly confusing...

I should have said it's the default profile name when a new installation of Sentinel is run for the first time. It opens with that name on the included empty profile. You can re-name that default one, and you then supply the name of your choosing when creating any new profiles after that.

Whst computer are you using? I had that happen to me with an old Windows XP computer until I updated the RAM to 2 Gig.
