SDS100/SDS200: SDS100 DMR CapMax issues with new 1.23.15 firmware

Has anyone else noticed more incorrect decoding of talk group ID's with the newest SDS firmware? Like a group call being incorrectly decoded as a private call, especially if I have the talk group that is active locked out (school buses). This is while watching the system with DSD Fastlane, so I can see the correct active talk group. Or sometimes I see a talk group ID that isn't even close to the actual ID. It seems a lot worse than it was on previous firmware. This is a Motorola CapMax system in the Pacific NW Day Wireless (DMR) Trunking System, Various, Multi-State

I listen to the same system on my BCD325P2 every now and then. I've noticed the private call issue you've described once or twice. The biggest problem I'm having on a 325P2 is the total failure to capture late entry, so I'm usually not getting any voice grant info until the very beginning of a conversation. Does your SDS100 experience this on the system as well?

It's too bad @JoeBearcat is no longer visting the forums. He seemed willing to work with me - even in DMs - about these issues, but they are still present.

It happens to all Uniden scanner models as they use the same basic firmware code and only modify it to suit each specific scanner model.
My experience are that DMR worked fine up till when they added capability to monitor RAS systems and that was already in the Upman days. There's probably some issues with their Forward Error Correction routine in the firmware code.

Also have the same issue with 325/996 also, but need to listen more to see if it as bad an issue. Of course having the recording feature helps me to see the issue alot easier when I am not actively monitoring the system. Yeah still seem to have the late entry issues as well.

I am wondering if you can go backwards in firmware just to do a comparison?

Are you seeing more activity on the CapMax system and less on the ConnectPlus system in your area as well? I posted in the Multi-State forum about it.

All available firmware prior to 1.11.04 for the BCD325P2 does not track the Capacity Max system at all. 1.11.04 and beyond at least made it usable. But also with the 1.11.04 update, late entry stopped working on a local Cap+ system . 1.11.03 was not perfect either but it was a lot better for Cap+.

Also, the Con+ site in my area was shut down a long time ago and it was all converted to Capacity Max. There are neighboring counties that still have Con+ sites, but much of the activity even there has been in favor of the new Capacity Max sites.

Thanks for the info, yeah I experienced the same thing. With the 996P2 and 325P2 they sort of work on the CapMax system and with a Harris 220 MHz Tier 3 DMR system that they didn't previously track with the old firmware.
It seems like with the SDS100 the latest firmware does not track as accurately as the older firmware at least on the Day Wireless CapMax system. I had the SDS and DSD running yesterday on the same site to verify that the individual calls and weird group calls that I was seeing on the SDS were not happening on DSD.
