I just recently bought the SDS 100 and I am having trouble picking up this sheriff station in citrus county Florida. The fire and EMS comes to good but when it comes to pick up the sheriff is just mute can someone please help

Simply look in the database, the sheriff's department is encrypted.

Notice the “ENC” display when you’re receiving the “muted” transmission.

Anyway, I’m sure it’s encrypted.

you could hear the D ones, maybe. if they have not gone encrypted.
the capital E means full time encryption for the sheriff.

I don't think the DB is completely accurate. In my monitoring (overnight hours) I've never had hits on 215 and 217. 701 is the most active followed by 703 (EDIT). So I'm assuming 701 is dispatch. But obviously, I can't confirm the content of the channels.

well, it would be hard to be accurate if you can't hear anything...

That was my point. Just saying I've never had any hits on 215 or 217, encrypted or not.
