Just pulled the trigger on an SDS100. Thank you GeorgiaScan - what a fantastic deal!

Just got an email from uniden saying "Don't miss our Black Friday Sale !", so far prices are the same as they have always been, if they do drop prices looks like it will be literally for 1 day.

Did the add say anything about a discount? Probably not? When one sees a Black Friday Sale ad for an item, they assume its normal retail price has somehow been reduced. In Uniden's advertisement there is no discount but it is still a sale if you buy the scanner.

In this purchase I paid with PayPal so if anything is strange I’m protected.
But it seems very legit. The owners have videos all over Facebook with great reviews.

I've bought many an item from MTC over the years. I wouldn't consider them obscure at all. IMHO, they're a legit company.

MTC is hardly an obscure seller they have been around quite awhile. And what does post count have to do with it? If you are going down that road 389 posts in 14 years is not that great of a percentage either.

I think they have a monthly ad in QST. Which isn't a guarantee, but adds a layer of legitimacy to their reputation.

I have been searching for quite some time for some sort of modest discount for this radio and this is the best I've been able find since it was released. I may have missed some deals here and there but this was the time to jump in the water. I also used PayPal in case there was anything funky about it.

Well my SDS 200 was supposed to arrive on Thursday 12/5 but it appears USPS has lost it! Not been seen since last scan in Texas on 12/4 6AM...someone else got a smoking deal!

The SDS200 should be back in stock by the end week, hopefully sooner. I was not advised of when the SDS100 would be back in stock.

I placed an order last Saturday for the SDS200 and it still hasn't arrived, and I can't track the order because I didn't have an account when I placed the order. I know they were swamped with orders and it'll get here eventually but I'd just like to know when.

@pro2052 was your order placed through Main Trading also? I had inquired about the SDS200 because I couldn't find it on their site and that was because it was sold out. I was told it was out of stock but was being ordered and it should take a week - week and a half to have back in stock.

I purchased an SDS100 and it seemed like the last few orders for them may have been delayed because it also became sold out. Luckily, my order was fulfilled but this may be what happened with your order.

They are very responsive via email. Just contact them and you'll likely get a response. I'm glad I found this post and the company as I prefer to support smaller businesses.

If this is Main Trading you ordered from, shoot them an email. They are pretty quick to respond. My SDS200 was supposed to come in yesterday via FedEx, but they did not deliver it until today.
