SDS100/SDS200: SDS100 Sentinel DotNet issue

Im new to scanning again after a 30 year absence. Doing GMRS, Ham and scanning all at once and I'm pretty confused, lol. Just got a sds100 and have ordered the programming sc card from the Bearcat Warehouse with my local counties on it. I wanted to use Sentinel, but after unzipping the file, when i try to install it says i need .NET Framework Version 2.0, download now? I click on yes and the website it takes me to has lots of version but not 2.0. Im running on Windows 11. HELP?

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 contains many new features building incrementally upon .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0, and includes .NET Framework 2.0 service pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.0 service pack 1.

Also don't be surprised but there are lots of Encryption in your area for LE and Fire.

In the search bar, type: WINDOWS FEATURES. A menu pops up. You should see ".NET Framework 3.0/3.5 (includes 2.0)", check the box, and let 'er go.

This is what I was needing also. Thanks again Enforcer52 😃 Apparently windows 11 doesnt have it! I decided to upgrade mt 996T to the Sds200 after all. Waiting on delivery.

To install .NET 2.0....

In the Windows search bar, type "Windows features" and click on "turn Windows features on or off"

Once that window populates, look at the checkbox next to ".NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)”. If that box is not checked, be sure to check it. Then click OK. After that finishes, reboot the computer and try installing Sentinel again. If your computer has Windows 11 running in S mode, you will need to disable that first.

Using ProScan, you can import any programming that you had created for the 996T into ProScan and use it as a basis for programming your incoming SDS200. Of course, being a Premium subscriber, you can use ProScan to import whatever systems and channels you need from the main database for use programming your SDS200.

Thank ypu. I don't recall that being mentioned. I saved the files for the 996T and have added them to the proscan setup for new scanner. Ready & waiting. 😃
