What's the easiest way to create a simplex DMR channel to save on this?

I've tried a couple ways and it doesn't seem to be picking up DMR audio.
I get preloaded Nationwide systems fine.

I want to get just as an example: 446.075 Slot 1 CC 1 Talkgroup 1

Quite apart from the fact that this is ham simplex freq - meaning you'd have to be real close to hear this - you haven't given us nearly enough information here. Here are just a few questions that need to be answered
  • I don't think DMR comes pre-loaded; you have to purchase it. Did you? And did you do the installation?
  • How do you know that the freqs you want to hear are actually DMR? It could be something else. What is your source of data?
  • What antenna are you using on the 100? An external antenna is almost a must for simplex ops of any kind
  • What app are you using to program (Sentinel, ProScan, BuTel)?
  • Did you activate the right service type?
  • You say that you 'tried a couple ways'; be more descriptive. Precisely what did you try?
  • Sad to say, Uniden didn't write really anything up on using DMR in their (mess of a) TWiki, so I've been accumulating links to relevant threads in our wiki. Read the Conventional / One Frequency trunk section of DMR and MOTOTRBO Tips for the BCDx36HP and SDS Scanners - The RadioReference Wiki
That oughta get the ball rolling

This SDS100 has DMR.
I'm trying to figure out how from the scanner I can program in a simpex frequency such as the one I listed and to save it such as to a favorites list.

I've had no problems picking up picking up amateur and commercial DMR repeaters imported via Sentinel.

But this is about as far as I'm able to program this channel in.
I don't receive anything from my DMR radio.

I wouldn't be too close to the scanner when you do this; you could be desensing it....

Did you turn on the right service type (I think it should be Ham)?

You didn't say anything about your 'couple of different ways'...

Did you read the threads linked in the wiki article (links are always in blue)?

"You didn't say anything about your 'couple of different ways'..."

Probably because this scanner isn't very intuitive with it's interface.
How do I get in the mindset of the person who thought the layout?

I have it set up the way I've shown in the picture.
I have the frequency and color code saved under a favorites list.
That's as far as I've been able to get.

I don't know if I need a site set or how to get to where you would set a site if you need to set a site.
Then it says no stored TGID.
The scanner doesn't detect my talk group or even the DMR audio.
How would I manually enter the talk group? Because it isn't automatically detecting it.

I gotta collect those into the wiki if I don't already have them; thanks for pointing these out

I tried this method, substituting the P-25 specific stuff with DMR, and of course I'm not trying to do a repeater, still no audio.

I also have not been able to reliably receive DMR in Simplex mode on an SDS100 scanner. For this very reason, I have a TRX-1 (or a Pro 668 with upgrade) for decoding DMR simplex mode. Has not failed me once so far, but the downside is that I need to have two radios on me at all times if I want to go this route.

Anytone D878 basic with the latest firmware is the best receiver I've found for a Tier 2 receiver. Even supports DCDM that totally confounds the SDS100 / 200 in conventional or OFT mode. Radio sees a RSSI, but can't do anything with it.
To Uniden's credit, the Tier 3 trunking stuff works good, but I've had no luck with DMR, NXDN, or P25 OFT working correctly in the applications they should shine at (Simplex or Conventional repeaters with Multiple TG's)

I looked at the different options for programming a Motorola Type II system in the SDS100. Looks daunting.
Pro-163 is easier.

Just as easy they all use the same thing as I had a 163 also
#1 Trunking System
#2 Site Channels
#3 Talkgroups Departments

But select Band Plan?
Fleet Map?
Set Status Bit?
And having to know LCN?

I can try it your way, but it may be awhile before I find the results as such systems are a little bit beyond my geographical area.

You don't need LCNs on a Motorola Type II system. You would on an LTR system, or DMR, but not Motorola Type II.

Fleet Maps are only needed on a Moto Type I system, of which there are very few.

Band plan possibly could be needed, but that is dependent on what frequencies are used. What system?

Status bit should be off (or 'ignore).

This system. I'm curious about the technical aspect of how I would even enter it in. It seems I would need a band plan.

Part of me was thinking of taking the completed data from another Motorola system, substituting the info, and go from there.
