This system. I'm curious about the technical aspect of how I would even enter it in. It seems I would need a band plan.

Part of me was thinking of taking the completed data from another Motorola system, substituting the info, and go from there.
Try this.

Save the attached file to your PC, then extract Canaan.hpe from the zipped file. Import into Sentinel.

Looking at some of the other Federal Moto Type II systems in the database, some have a simple band plan, some, like Canaan, do not. Here's a modified file (the first one was a direct import from the database), where I dummied in a band plan from a system using similar frequencies.

I could not get any Uniden or Whistler scanner to ever reliably decode simplex DMR. However, a used EVX-S24 portable found on EBAY works perfectly on simplex DMR.

The thing is, I wanted to try doing some range testing of the Retevis RT73.

I have construction workers nearby that use DMR simplex between them and my UBC3600, EU version of HP436, using firmware 1.26.0 picks up their conversation each time. Don't know what brand of radio they use but the signal are usually very noisy and then it takes 2-3 second until the scanner switches from analog to digital. The SDS100 doesn't like that signalling at all and the squelch doesn't open with that staccato carrier. The squelch needs to open or the digital decoder wont be activated.
