Post 32 lower Colorado system

OP is in Cibolo, TX. That is the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) P25 system.in Texas.

What do you see when you do a Site Hold on the Cibolo site?

My radio scans normally but there is no signal indication or data being received

I am beginning to believe that the RF amp may be blown. Even if the antenna connection to the circuit board is broken, the capacitive coupling and the components and foils on the circuit board should pick up enough RF to give a low RSSI reading. Did you key up a 2-way in close proximity to the scanner?

I do have a Cb radio and some 2 ways but I never key them up around the radio

My bad.. I confused this thread and SDS100/SDS200: - No signal and Antenna rotates when tight

Just wanted to see if you ended up sending it in to Uniden? Mine had the same issue, not receiving anything. I finally determined it to be the internal connector between the two boards, both had bad solder joints. I fixed it after I did the soldering work myself, which I would not recommend unless you know what you are doing.

I might end up offering to do the repair for others, which would be cheaper than sending it in to Uniden, so let me know if you still need it fixed.

I sent it to get fixed about 3 weeks ago they said the RF board had been damaged which was weird because I’ve never exposed my radio to transmitters at a close range but we did have some strong storms that rolled through but anyways I got it back in a week and it’s fine now and thanks for your offer.
