Happy Holidays All! Having difficulty getting my new SDS200 (Firmware 1.23.01) & ARC536PRO (Version 2.6 Build 1) "Virtual Control" feature to work on my Dell XPS 8960. I'm taking the serial port output, using the Micro USB connection on the front of the SDS200, by selecting the Serial Port "." when connecting the USB cable to the PC. Device Manager is showing USB Serial Device (COM) 4 under PORTS.

I know using the Virtual Control feature with other ARC PRO software with my earlier Uniden scanners, you either used auto detect or manually selected the COM port that was being utilized. Are there any additional driver(s) that I need to install for my particular setup?

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much for responding Gommert! I tried what you suggested above, installing the USB serial driver contained in ARC536 on COM ports 4, 5, 7 & 10 separately. Unfortunately, I had no success in getting the Virtual Control feature to establish comms with my SDS200. I have no problems when connecting the USB cable and using the Mass Storage option. I'm running WIN 11, 64-bit and have all associated Windows updates installed. Is there a third-party driver that I need to install that supports WIN 11? Any suggestions/guidance is very much appreciated! :)
