After you clear user data, if Sentinel on the Windows 10 PC still does not recognize the scanner, try the Win11 laptop with Sentinel. The fact that the Windows 10 PC showed the card as write protected could very well be the problem with Sentinel not being able to see the card when using that Win10 computer.

Thanks. Originally had tried the scanner on both with no success so am suspecting the microSD card is the problem but am perplexed why the scanner is able to load everything from the card on power up and save to it on shutdown but yet the card is coming up as being empty and possibly corrupted when accessed either via USB cable or directly by either PC or laptop. Will hopefully have more clues once the new card is finished formatting and I've worked through the next few steps.
