Yes, you can send it to Uniden Repair. Whatever is wrong with it, they will fix for about $80 + shipping and ship it back to you. Usually within 14 days.

Just no audio from anything, speaker, either external jack, all else is normal. I called and got it started, so right now it should be getting shipped to texas. I do thank you for the response.

I realize this’ll sound like an unbelievably stupid question but here we go: Is the volume control set fully counter clockwise once you‘ve turned the power on? I ask you this because I had the volume on my SDS 200 set just that way when I first got it. I began freaking out (somewhat) and wondering WTF was going on. Before long, It’d hit me that I had subconsciously (foolishly) set the volume control level to minimum and moved onto something else for a moment or so. Just long enough to distract my attention from performing an elementary task that a first grader could’ve easily performed blindfolded Lol! Just my two cents, FWIW and you can do whatever you want with it. Good luck!

I have done that, but not this time. It strikes me that these things are more sdr than radio. Anyway, sometimes the knob it self doesn't change the volume, I have to look and see the numbers changing before I know.

According to ups , the unit arrived in tx late Wednesday , nothing else since.

Oer the attached paper, they replaced the LCD,front chassis frame, IC 16, Ground wire, firmware and database update.
