I'm assuming, the PS in question operates your 536 just fine?
Yes. Both cables power the 536 with no issues. They both also power the 200 but only the supplied one will allow it to receive any signals.I'm assuming, the PS in question operates your 536 just fine?
You’re correct. The one on the left is the one it came with and was working.Enlarging and filtering the pic they are both 750ma, although the one on the right appears to be older from the faded printing on it or it's just a manufacturing difference in the stenciling.
From what @drake1792 posted, I gathered the scanner didn't work on cig plug, or three pin cable. Am I correct in this?
And which one is the one that works? left or right
So the one that came with the 200 worked fine with the 200 and allowed it to receive.Just to confirm, you have 2 issues, right
One charger does not work with the 200? But works with the 536?
And the one that does work with the 200, the 200 not receive anything?
Its clear one power supply is bad as the 536 and 200 use the same power requirements. Where did the 200 and its power supply come from?
Sounds to me like someone dump off a problematic scanner, that works when it wants too.I just purchased a used but good condition SDS200
Can you return the scanner for a refund? It clearly has something wrong with it.Just reconnected the original PS it came with and now the scanner also receives nothing with even that. powers up normally but even when testing simplex stuff nothing happens..
No. Bought it off of eBay and I viewed there video of it receiving so I thought nothing of it.. my best bet is probably sending it to Uniden for repair..?Can you return the scanner for a refund? It clearly has something wrong with it.

I’ve tried all the cables from all the scanners in the house on the 200 and they all work to power the unit on but it still doesn’t receive anything no matter which cable I use now..I have a video of cars driving over a bridge. I can give you a good deal on the 🌉
Seriously tho, if it appears the AD 1009 it came with in no, just replace that with one from scamazon. Just make sure it puts out at least 750ma. Does the 536 work with the one the 200 won’t receive with?
Not sure if it was used in a vehicle or not. They stated that they obtained the scanner “at the estate sale of a ham radio enthusiast; radio was sitting on a desk, plugged in.” That’s all the information I know about it’s history. You may have a problem on the PS board. Do you know if it was previously used in a vehicle? If so, it may have had some rough rides.
Understood. Yeah it has been on the correct model in the software since I’ve programmed it. We’ll see what Uniden can do for repair.. thanks!I did the same thing and ran into problems using Sentinel to program my new SDS200 with the same thing as my BCD536HP. I finally learned that you have to go to TOOLS / TARGET MODEL to get Sentinel to upload the file correctly. It may not have anything to do with your issue but thought I would throw it out there. You have to switch to the correct scanner each time. Hope you get things sorted out.
