Hi group,
Anyone in the central Ohio area who could let me know how the SDS200 does with Central Ohio Interoperable Radio System (COIRS) ?
I have a G5 it works great here on that system. i am thinking about getting the SDS200 for a base.

You should have no problem with it. I don’t own an SDS200 but it should work without issue.

Should be Zero issue with it. I've had a 100 in Cbus Mobile, but too busy to really pay close attention.

I have had zero issues with the SDS200 on COIRS - either with the Delaware County or Hillard et. al. Franklin County systems. I do use externally mounted discone antennas with my 200s. I am located in southern Delaware County. With the supplied antenna, I was able to receive COIRS Franklin County in my shack (southwest corner of the house) and marginal in select other areas within the house.

I encountered the digital noise issue with each of my 200s (3), all modified to acceptable levels. From an operational environment perspective best not to use in bright rooms with sunlight directed at the display - very hard to view/read. Otherwise I've been very pleased with this model.

I also used Scotch copper tape between the front panel frame and the chassis (to provide greater contact surface beyond the Uniden provided clip). I addition, I used two small pieces of double sided tape applied to the top side of the chassis close to the front panel (https://forums.radioreference.com/t...ified-for-sds-200-speaker-noise-issue.383622/).

Works like a champ for me from the Grove City area; of course, I'm using an antenna in the attic.
