First thing to do is tell us exactly what systems you are trying to monitor. Let us know your county, city, and the names of the specific systems you are close to. Best thing to do is post a direct link to those systems if you see them in the RR database.

Are you scanning using the database or favoruites list? Do you have the appropriate service types enabled? (security, business)

You've confirmed via Settings > Upgrade > Upgrade NXDN that the screen reads NXDN has already been activated?. If yes, tune to a control channel of any NXDN system of choice within range. Do you see RAN code (or AREA), Sys ID, etc?

What does the link do
I have all that in the scanner
It never picks anything up
I’m very close to many nxdm sites
Get nothing
Also... Check to be sure that the latest updated database made it into your scanner. Check it through the scanner's menu system....

Menu ---> Manage Full Database ---> Information

what date does it say there for the dB Version? The current database date is 5/09/2021

How far away are you from this casino and what antenna are you using? How high up is it?

Run LCN finder: Menu > Analyze > LCN Finder. Dial in system name or press dial to list all systems in the FL. Select an NXDN system you're having trouble picking up. Select site. Let LCN finder run until all LCNs are found. Note this may take a while if the system isn't terribly active. Once all LCNs are found, try scanning the system again

Should I Waite and get 7/7 up to 6/7 as I type
Looks like a pretty busy system. You can let it sit a little longer, see if it picks up the last one. If after say an hour or so the last one isn't found, that frequency may not be in use (or seldom used)

So what exactly is that doing compared to using the data base
You'd use the found LCNs to verify that the database is indeed accurate & to ensure they are all programmed correctly into your scanner so you don't miss traffic

So here is your system, it looks like you're going in a good direction, the SDS handles nx48 very well... JMC is on the right track. I have a question about your antenna. We've established that it's outside and it's high, is it a tri-band or dual band antenna? Just want to make sure it's not a 2 meter only ham antenna and what kind of coax are you using?

If you're that close, probably shouldn't make a difference. You should be able to just program this in your radio, as is, to its own favorites list and have no problem picking the system up if you say you're close.

There's a lot of talk groups as most casinos have but they probably only use a handful. Three out of the four security talk groups are encrypted and it looks like the main operations talk group is encrypted which makes sense in a casino... see doc's post for the list.

You should be getting five bars and a RSSI of -80 or better... you mentioned a noise level of 100 to 2500?

Always a chance of some kind of local interference due to your RF environment.
