I have a TRX-1 and also a Pro-668 that has been upgraded by Whistler and I'm getting some strange things happening during searches. I decided to scan that same band in Limit Search for DMR (461-465) on both scanners, and here is an example of what I get:

TRX-1 668
461.4 461.403125
462.175 462.178125

There were several others, but it's all the same. It seems that the 668 ADDS 0.003125 to all frequencies found. I wondered which one was accurate, so I did the same scan on my BCD436HP and it matched the TRX-1.

So.........Is this normal and can it be corrected to find and display the same frequency? The settings in both programs are identical. And Zeromatic on both scanners is checked. Also, is there a way to permanently lock out frequencies during scanning, ie...ones you already know what they are? Or am I going to have to subtract 0.003125 from every frequency that the 668 finds? Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone else who owns both scanners happen to you too? I'd be interested to know if it is just me, or happens to others. Thanks.

Maybe the 668 are out of tune and needs aligment? Try to enter a preferable weak station that have a constant digital transmission and tune one and two steps down and up in frequency and try to listen what frequency sounds the cleanest or if it sounds worse one step down but can tune two steps up until it gets worse. The correct frequency are in the middle of the worse ones on either side.

When I checked my new Uniden 536 and Whistler TRX-2 they where 1KHz off in frequency, one where + and the other - from the correct frequency. An older scanner could be 2KHz off and then a frequency 3.25KHz off are the closest one.
