Shipping from Canada question ????

Ordered IC R-5 sent out about 5 weeks ago. Canada post shipping to U.S.
Anyone have any trouble with shipping ? Is this normal for shipping from Canada ?

Not through Canada but from Japan. You may want to contact the seller (Which I'm sure at this point in the game you have). It shouldn't be a issue though.....five weeks is a long time.

coming from canada, 5 weeks is not unusual. i would ask for a tracking number from the seller. hopefully, the radio was insured.

Now i have to figure out how to program it. I read and reread the instructions and still confused. :?

I have the R5, and it is NOT for the weak of heart Actually, once you get used to it, it's not that bad. You can hit the band button and it will run through the different bands, then use the tuning knob to get to the frequency you want. Getting the frequency into the memories, and then dividing everything up is also aggravating, as there are multiple steps. May I suggest the Icom R5 programming software? I know it sounds pricey, but at the same time, it makes programming the little beauty a lot easier.
