I'm everywhere Focker!
The size of the town has no bearing on it, the proximity of the device to cell sites and LMR sites is what matters as these devices also jam the uplink band. So if your signal is weaker into the cell or LMR site than the jammer you lose.

Once inside the residence the downlink jamming capabilities is probably what caused the cell phones and law enforcement radios to stop working.

WiFI and GPS was probably local to the source though.

I've tracked down numerous jammers with some of them affecting sites many miles away. And a strategically placed jammer on a hill or a multi-story residence/business could wreak havoc for a long way.

And no contractions were harmed in this post.

Technicians with the Communications Department immediately disabled the device.

So they unplugged it.

Single-handedly managed the successful upgrade and deployment of new self-contained environmental illumination device with zero cost overruns and zero safety incidents.

I live in the same town as the jammer. I can say I did still get Cal Fire though it sounded like it was on a repeater very far away. It did not sound right. I figured they just went over to an antenna I did not hear well. I think one time the signal died before they were done speaking. Also VHF air did not sound as good for a while. I think I heard funny noise on 15 meters lately. Basically what I was hearing was not the kind of thing you hear with bad propagation. I do not know about the how the SVRCS was because I have analog scanners.

It opened for me. Thank you.

I can't help but laugh at the picture. I'd like to know the thinking behind actually labeling the device "signal jammer". LOL
