Are they encrypted, now? I only hear scrambling from them.
I have heard them in the clear. They are already on VIPER. CCSO Disp has 'e'. But that is it on VIPER. All the other channels show no encryption.Have you ever heard them in the clear? I was under the impression all law enforcement in Chatham was going encrypted once they were completely cutover to VIPER.
Thanks for the update.Siler CIty, Pittsboro, Chatham County SO and another yet identified VIPER user with TalkGroup 10019 are all Encrypted with AES256.
They're also P25 Phase 2, at least through the Chatham Simulcast site.

Can you submit a ticket to RR showing that about the Siler City n' Pittsboro pds'? To update the RR database.Siler CIty, Pittsboro, Chatham County SO and another yet identified VIPER user with TalkGroup 10019 are all Encrypted with AES256.

Seems like that number would take a couple months. They've been submitted as DE / Full Time Encryption.
There are 195 other database change entries ahead of mine so it may take a few days.
There are quite a few hard-working DB admins that cover different areas, so it usually does not take that long since the work load gets spread out. It also depends on your geographic region. My submissions for Alabama are usually worked in about a day. For North Carolina it typically takes 1-2 weeks.Seems like that number would take a couple months.

There are videos on YouTube showing where to get the software, and how to set it up. Here's an example:How easy was this to set up? I have always been interested in seeing the systems operate behind the scenes.
It only took a day or two for the updates I submitted to be applied to the database.Seems like that number would take a couple months.
I'm using an AirSpy Mini USB dongle for the receiver. They're available from multiple sources online. It has a wideband receiver for use as a trunking decoder with a variety of SDR software, such as SDR#, UniTrunker/Unitrunker2, and SDR Trunk. How easy was this to set up?
