Does anybody know if there is a way to make the Simple APCO plugin mute encryption. I have a apco system where dispatch is in the clear but not the trucks

I have the files copied to the sharp folder. How do I use it? I don't see anything new on the left side of the SDR# to choose.

thanks, Ken

Was the PlugIn also installed correctly?
The two dll files go into the "PlugIns" folder in the SDR# directory.
Then enter the "Magicline" in the file "Plugins.xml" and save the file again.
After that the APCO Plugin should be displayed (see screenshot).

you don't need to do the magicline thing anymore just take the folder and drop it in the plugins. Did you use the installer or zip file?

Not sure how it works but it does --
That's interesting. So you guys are running 19xx version. I am behind the times, 1742 here. I have a lot of time and freqs invested in the freq manager plug in and it was having compatibility issues with newer versions so that's why I stopped upgrading. For what I use it for, none of the improvements or flashy skins really mattered. As long as I can tune to a freq and receive audio, I'm good. I may revisit again.

So there must be some code in sdr that simply reads the contents of the plug in folder and when it see's the dll, it loads it into the prog without the magic line. Gotta say that's pretty cool.

When I read the instructions I thought it said the 2 files go into the sharpe folder. The text line goes into the Plugins.xmi file. The version
of sharpe I have is v.1.0.0.1444. I don't show a Plugins folder. Its a running version of sharpe with DSD+, scanning and other plugins.

Definitely for older versions you will need the magic line in the xml file. Not sure when this change took place but yours is older than mine and I have to use magic line in xml.

The change away from the plugins.xml was at version ..0.1801

From that onwards you can use the plugins subdirectory (or by editing your config file any directory you want).

Where plugins require functionality to be preset* then they plugins.xml can still be used but for convenience placed into the same 'plugins' directory.

*AuxVFO springs to mind. Each VFO needs it's own initialisation. Whether you need AuxVFO rather than the native 'slices' depends on PC spec and your actual purpose in having the extra VFOs output
