I currently have an SDS100 and have an SDS on order... Can I use the same programming file that I have loaded on my SDS100 to load to my SDS200 or does it require another format? - Thanks in advance.

You can use the same file. The only differences are the display options and battery charging.. Under the Tools tab, set the Target Model to SDS200 and set the display settings accordingly. You can set up a separate profile for each scanner.

It looks like there is a LAN program feature. Is it mandatory that I use my LAN or can I just go USB via the programming cable?

The SDS100 uses a mini USB cable and the SDS200 uses a micro USB cable. They are different.
Yeah, who knows why they would use different cables for each device. And why still use an outdated mini-USB? I think it's the only device I still have that uses this style... :cautious:

I lobbied for keeping Mini (for compatibility) or switching to USB-C if a switch is required.

But it was not my call.
