Good morning, Upon looking at the Flat Top frequencies I have noticed that it supports the Kopperston frequencies. Have any of you received anything for Wyoming County from The Flat Top repeater yet? I am new to programming trunk system's and with the help of other's I am now able to receive the trunk system for Wyoming Co. The 5807 Wymg Law is working but the talking does vary from busy at times to nothing for hour's. So, if the Flat Top repeater does support this county and you have heard it please let me know so I can add it to my set up. To those who have worked very hard in helping people like me on this web I want to thank you for your post. Like other's I read them a lot.
I get Wyoming County off the Flat Top tower all the time, They are only using the system when they are in a part of the county where they cant get out on 159.0900.
On the IRP yes from time to time you will hear it. Also can hear a I think a McDowell County EMS on one of the MedCom channels.
Thank you. I have not heard anything on Flat Top from WYMG CO yet. I might be out of range. Thank you for your information. Everyone has help me very much and have been so understanding of me being new to this and that I am learning. By the way I did not give a complete list of my scanner's nor the antenna I use. pro-197-------BC 396xt--------Icom r20-------BC 785d --- and the antenna is the Scantenna st2 Thanks to you all I now have my pro-197 and the 396xt up and going on the trunk system. From time to time when you and other's have given me more information I go back and add this to my set up as well. However I do not have the 785d programed for trunk yet.
If your anywhere from Camp Creek into about Daniels youll pick it up, They are also on the Beckley tower, you probably wont hear much for a while from Wyoming county since they don't use the system much right now
I do not know about the Daniels tower but what Tower do I need to look for in the Beckley area? You are right they do not use it very often but when they do it is busy for a while. I just received them for the first time on their private frequencies today. I did not pay attention to the freq. but, I did see WYMG PV pop up. I have not had any luck with the Flat top tower yet. Only time will tell. Wyoming has a few bugs in their set up. I heard them speaking about it . I guess it will take time for their Techs to work it out.
As far as I know from talking to their sheriff that they are on the Beckley tower so you should be able to hear them, you should also be able to hear them on VHF as well. They wont be 100% in SIRN for about another month or 2, they still have some radios to install.
Whisenant , I have been picking up WYMG CO on the Mountain View tower in Mingo CO, Kopperston tower. I have not got anything on the Beckley tower yet not the Flat top tower yet. These two are the most busy for WYMG CO so far.
Last night I started to receive the WYMG CO trunk system on the Beckley tower. So far I am picking up on three towers now. They were quite busy yesterday and last night. The three towers are Beckley---Kopperston----- and last the Mountain View tower. You guys have a great week end and thank you all for the help.. I most likely would still be scratching my head on trunk systems if it were not for the help that had been given to me. If I can I will pass this kind of help along to other's.
