Finally received it and its pretty cool.
Thing is I can scan the conventional freqs fine, no problem. But the scanner doesn't scan the trunked systems. When Im scanning the conventional freqs, I never see the "T" pop up on the screen during scanning. I went into GLOB, Scan Lists and they are enabled. Now when I select the scanlists from the main menu ( where it shows the numbers 1-20 ) tha tI want to scan that are trunked, It says nothing enabled, and the number flashes.. Any idea on whats up?

You will learn much faster if you go in smaller steps. Posting a question that blends issues like the one above is tough to answer. The conventional frequencies will not show a T.

I know that, I have the conventional ones working fine. But when I turn off those scan lists, and goto scan Trunked systems It doesnt work..

Or do I do something different to listen to trunked systems... thats where the problem could be

How do I scan trunked systems? They are on my scanlists from 1-8

What do you want to scan? The Anne Arundel county system?

Maybe you just think it is programmed. Do you have a TSYS programmed with the red and blue frequencies from the system?

Its someone locally from me and has a few thousand posts... I asked for help and he did it for me without asking. I trust him... So it has to be something Im doing or maybe something is turned off, IM not sure.

Its a GR5 file

The point is that you did not learn anything by having someone program it for you. If you would have done it yourself, you would have learned a lot about how the scanner works. Now it is just a box with a bunch of buttons. Your friend gave you a fish. Now you need to know how to catch your own. I can't do anything with a gr5 file. I use win500.

There should be a "1" but the camera caught it as it was flashing.

Frank to the rescue. :D

He's the one that helped me out. So I dont think something was done wrong. Im not INTO scanners, I just wanted to be able to listen locally. So programming isnt a big thing to me, if I had to do it myself ok. But someone was willing to help and I accepted.

Guess what,

ARC imported all TSYS TGRP's locked out.

Open ARC500, select Talkgroup, in 6th column under Lockout.
1. Double click On cell to Off.
2. Right click the off cell and select copy.
3. Click in and hold on next On cell
4. While holding drag down through ALL talkgroups.
5. When reaching bottom, right click and select paste.

Only the Lockout column cells should be highlighted through the operation and all should change to Off.

Save file and upload to scanner.

I'm very sorry for not noticing the flaw.
