I ran it for 30 seconds to 1min, yup file was an empty. Txt. Just goes to show how different the SDS and USDS are to each other.not sure what the difference between both models are.
I'll let Uniden Australisia know of the debug thing.
Just empty txt files.

Programed the one Channels again and it slowed way down. Here's the file.
Yes, it's 200mS per channel in scan speed, 5ch/s. It doesn't seem to be radio related but instead some sort of firmware bug. You can see that 156.000MHz where the SDS100 have an internal birdie with signal strenght of -105dBm and noise at 100, indicate squelch carrier as it should.

You are running 1.10.00 FW now, so you probably have to wait for the 1.10.06 FW as that seems to be problem free.

A temporary fix for it is to have a Mototrbo system scan after the OFT and before the conventional. Resets the scan speed. A great trick but its pure luck as to what the order is.

I brought Uniden into the light about the issue of the 1 frequency DMR issue and they stated it will be fixed when the next firmware is out.
If you have a digital trunking system scan between the oft and conventional channels then it resets whatever its brain is doing with the oft and makes the scan speed normal again. If you have oft and conventional scanning next to each other the conventional will be so slow.
This does NOT apply to the US version of the SDS100.

Connect the scanner to Sentinel, and try to do a firmware update there. There are two parts to SDS firmware, main and sub, each with their own version number.

Ya, went back to conventional and back to waiting. Mikek, did you go to conventional or stay with the slow speeds?
I was only scanning (searching, actually) conventional stuff when mine slowed down. It resolved for a bit but still, randomly, slows down. I pull the battery and clear user data when that happens.

I tried to update the firmware this am, Got a message that I had the latest firmware was already installed. Mikek, I don't know what to say about your problem. Removing the One frequency DMR Systems should have restored the speed issue.

@hightime, the DMR bug is not applicable to your radio, it's specific to the Australian variant. Check to see whether your radio shows a numeric RSSI value when a signal is being received. If all you see is "---", the slow scanning is caused by the cold solder joint issue, not a firmware bug.
