Last year I would hear the base on 40.53 (go look up the parameters - huge power / antenna) for hours on end. The remote sites on 41.53 (41 something) were fewer and farther between. There are 2 base stations, I do not have a way to determine which one is on or transmitting. This year I havent heard quite so much. One of these days I need ot put the other meteor scatter freqs in the radio. There are a couple of outfits with licenses for data transmission via M/S in the low vhf band. I usually have the 10FM radio on all day on 29.6 but dont hear too much on that freq.
