• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Hi, I'm new here. And from Sweden (sorry for my spelling)

I have a question? Some idiot is trying to upgrade the firmware from V. A8.01.03.001 to another one. Why I can't understand when it worked without problems, but not now. Something went completely wrong. When I try to connect to the repeater with Hytera CPS, I got the message "radio is blocked!" and with a flash tool I got something like "firmware is beyond". Is there any software that just puts the old firmware in without any questions, and if I can get that software or a web link to it.
I can connect to the repeater (USB) and it´s in my local network and an ip address from DHCP.so it must work. so please, help me any one.

I dont know
I have done some research The firmware they tried with first is V8.05.07.004 it didn't work, then they tried with V9 and that was it, the repeater didn't start

The software they were using crashed, and they had to kill the process with the task manager. The operating system was Windows 11.
Default Version 8.01.03.001

I think, my friend, that your RD625 was originally locked, and you tried to unlock it by installing a new or different firmware!

The response the CPS gives you is what makes me think about that!

So, I don't think your problem is a firmware issue!

That's my opinion.

Regards.

Fore sure not a firmware issue. Either someone sent a disable command to the repeater or it had a read or write password and it was entered wrong too many times and disabled the repeater.

1 way to see if it was disable is if you know what the repeater radio id # is, try and send a revive command from another radio and see if it comes back online. But then needs to be same frequency/repeater and it could have a security key needed for that also. But if its your system should have all that info.

COULD try loading a saved codeplug and writing it back in and see if that works also

If all that fails to work then off to see a dealer

Yes, that's what I thought at first.

Incorrect password, too many attempts

If the display shows "Radio Blocked" it means that the repeater was most likely blocked by entering an incorrect password. If the repeater was blocked by sending a command from another radio, the display would show "Radio Disabled" or something like that. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Alberto, is this probably the same case you wrote about in telegram? Can you unblock this repeater?
