South Florida Motorola System: RIP

Sometime today between 1am and 2pm the Motorola System was taken offline.

From my home in Juno Beach I can usually hear three data channels: Ft Pierce, WPB and Miami.

Today: NOTHING

I guess the day has come.

Not quite. I'm still hearing FHP Turnpike Troop K out of Miami, as of Tuesday afternoon May 16th. However, I just heard the West Palm Beach Fish and Wildlife dispatcher tell all units they would be switching to the M/A-COM radios Wednesday morning the 17th at 0001hours.

I live in Port St. Lucie, and I can assure you that all of St. Lucie county is still MOT II. Martin county has gone digital though.

You're referring to the County systems, correct? I was referring to the State of Florida Moto system. 2d3d Seems to be gone now, except for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, which are still active right now (Memorial Day)

24176, FHP Troop K - Turnpike (patched to another talkgroup)
63952, FHP Troop E - Miami Central
63984, FHP Troop E - Miami North
63920, FHP Troop E - Miami South
63888, FHP Troop E - Miami Special
39984, FWC Marathon 1
54320, FWC Miami North
Also lots of "I" calls from FHP and FWC.

And not so much today due to holiday, but some Dept. of Corrections (DC) administrative traffic.
