Hello,
I have noticed that when the mic is released on a tx'ing radio using an analog, conv repeater freq, there is squelch noise for second before the freq is silent... With my previous (analog) scanners, I would simply adjust the squelch dial to remedy this... I have tried fully opening and closing the squelch dial on my PSR-500, but this has no effect on the trailing squelch noise (static) on my unit...
The only "default" setting I adjusted was lowering the "digital detect timeout" per a suggestion in this forum, but I don't see how that could be affecting analog squelch settings... I have not yet messed around with the CTCSS/DCS settings...
Has anyone else experienced this and how was it remedied?
