OK, riddle me this. Listening to some air comms on my BC246, when the CARS talks and then releases the mic the scanner moves on, when the aircraft talks and releases the mic, the scanner stays there with static as if the squelch is wide open, but I have it all the way quiet. It happened when the aircraft was 6-12 miles out and also when on the ramp within 1/4 mile of the ground station. The ground station is about 3/8 of a mile from me, and I am hooked up to a air-band groundplane on about a 60-70ft tower.
