SRRCS Confirmed Rebanding

I was reading the Sacramento Fire Department's 2009 Annual Report, and inside the report, it states information about the rebanding process.

On page 19, under the heading "Technical Services", bullet point 5, it states the following:

"Continued planning for the 800 MHz Radio Rebanding Project, which will require the reprogramming or replacement of all radios,
scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2011 (hands-on portion begins November of 2010)."

So, yes, SRRCS will be rebanding by 2011.

I think it's better to say at least by the end of March 2011. And it says radios which may or may not be specific to subscribers and infrastructure (to me it sounds strictly like subscribers). So when the system actually moves off 866MHz could be well past March. No actual rebanding of the infrastructure can occur until all in-service subscribers are flashed (if applicable) and reprogrammed for the new frequencies. Programming can contain pre and post system freqs so changeover of the infrastructure does not necessarily have to start as soon as programming is complete.
