I have the St Clair simulcast tower RFSS 3 site 059 programmed along with many Cencom TGID's for sheriff, ESL, etc. and the control channel 851.225 yet I get out of range when I'm clearly in range. I have the blue alternate channels programmed. Can someone confirm the St Clair simulcast tower's control channel?

What scanner/radio are you using?

Did you enter the site number as DEC instead of HEX? I made that mistake myself.

I guess I'll have to check. I did enter 3 and 059 for site. I should enter 3B for HEX?

depending on your location, reception may not be as good as you think even if it's showing good signal. St. Clair County is a multi tower simulcast system that is notorious for dropping a tower occasionally so IMO is very unreliable unless you are in the middle of the system.

Thanks, I'll change the site to HEX and see if I can pick up their broadcasts.
