Seeing a new neighbor site to 2-31 Congerville, coming up as 2-68. Control channel is showing as 853.8125. I checked that frequency and don't have anything on it here in Bloomington although it's also not showing as active currently, Unitrunker says it's valid but failed. It is not showing as a neighbor on any of the other sites I can get here but all of those are south/east of Congerville, so I'm guessing 2-68 is somewhere near Peoria.

I recall that there was supposed to be a site coming online at El Paso (Woodford County). 853.8125 is licensed there. Any chance that could be Site 2-68? Callsign is WRDF445, licensed to Woodford County, repeaters on 851.2875, 851.7375. 853.2125 and 853.8125.

I came across a list of Grundy County SC21 talkgroups (names only, no talkgroup numbers shown) that were to be shared with another entity for interoperability purposes. All but talkgroups GC LE 1 and GC LE 2 are already identified in the Radio Reference database. I'm guessing that LE stands for Law Enforcement, but these were not the same as POLICE 1 and POLICE 2 (which were shown separately in the list).

Does anyone know the talkgroup numbers for GC LE 1 and GC LE 2?

I have a old list of TGs when Grundy first joined Starcom and it has GC LE 1 TG2429 and GC LE 2 TG2430 which is still used as County 2429 and City of Morris 2430....

TGs 2429 and 2430 are listed in the Radio Reference database as GC POLICE 1 and GC POLICE 2 respectively. GC POLICE 1 and GC POLICE 2 are also shown in the interoperability document I referred to, so I'm thinking that GC LE 1 and GC LE 2 should be two different TGs (unless there was an error in the document, which was created by Grundy County).

Possible, although I would think it would show up as a neighbor on Normal or Lexington if it was. I'll keep an eye on it once it actually shows as active.

Speaking of, I'm up north this weekend, and seeing encrypted activity on TG 2797 and 2799. These appear to be simulcasted with NWCDS FD1 and 3. Have hits on 2798 which would correspond to FD2 in the past but not seeing it active right now. Been trying to keep an eye on it to see if it's a full time simulcast but I'm also supposed to be working, so haven't been doing a great job.

NWCD Are they only encrypting dispatch 1 2 and 3 or all the FD fire channels. If I can still receive FG channels I don't care about dispatch.

I recently heard from Radio Reference user n9lob, who lives in Woodford County. He confirms that this is SC21 Site 2-68 in El Paso, which I've added to the SC21 database page. Thanks for the confirmation, n9lob!

I've been looking but not finding anything definitive. I have been hearing Libertyville, Mundelein and Countryside fire on the Lake Zurich / Wauconda fire TG 33448 since about last Monday. No idea on future ENC.

I just saw that the dreaded "e" got put into the mode column for Fire Dispatch 4 in the DB. That's a really bad sign...

I don't see that on TG 33448 in the db. I see the little e added to TG 33409 (LC Ops).
