Lucky you. You're not dedicating the PRO-2096 to your feed, are you?

Yes iam, a 500 channel scanner is alot better then a 30 channel scanner i use for my feed.

I'm sorry, but dedicating a $500 scanner for an Internet stream of the NJSP? That's a bad idea. If I had a PRO-2096, I'd use it for my own personal listening, and buy an older TrunkTracker (which is not the PRO-92) for the stream. The Central system is all analog, so why use a PRO-2096 for a feed like that?

Both Troop A & C are switching to digital soon, Troop B is already using it.

Troop B only has partial ability for P-25 CAI, not all sites are capable yet. I doubt Troop A & C will go digital any time soon.

Thanks Rob for the stream.
NJSP have been missing from online for too long.

A question for all of you NJ listeners:

There is an abundance of info online about the NJSP, but what I can't seem to locate very much about is how the actual patrol zones are organized on the Turnpike and I 80.

Does anyone have any info on the mile markers for those roads? And/or the other interstates?

Thanks

Dic

Actually Troop B & C are both fully capable of analog and digital communications at all sites now. Troop A may be coming online in October

NOT UNTIL 2008! I AM WORKING ON THE SYTEM.

I guess you are not that invloved with the system then. B & C are already SmartZone Omnilink and are using a mixed mode setup which allows both analog and digital transmissions.

Some talkgroups are already using portables with digital (although very few). The majority of the units are still flashed and programmed for analog.

It will take a while for normal dispatch (2 comm, 3 comm, etc)to go over to digital, if they migrate at all.

The stream is outstanding! I would have loved it if someone had this back when I didnt have a trunk capable scanner. I would like to do the same thing with the Morris County TRS eventualy, but I havent had much sucess setting up shoutcast. I was always looking for something plug and play like, but instead I find the uber difficult IT nerd special setups that make me remember what it was like taking the short bus.

Great stream, thank you for your contribution to the scanning community. *Present ARMS!* *ooooooooorder ARMS*

not sure if anyone listens but if you do and you have any tweaking comments...please let me know. i am new to this stuff and just recently stopped paying for someone to host the stream and decided to do it myself, so there is a learning curve. i am intrested in knowing if anyone gets a rebuffering error from the stream..

thnx guys.

my apologies...yes the stream is down. i currently use my dsl to host the stream and use my cable connection for work. my dsl is down and i really dont want to move the stream to my cable because i use it for work. verizon is working on getting the dsl up...should be resolved by monday. i guess this is one of the drawbacks of hosting your own stream rather than pushing it to a server and having them host it.

i will post when back up.
