If I'm not mistaken, isn't encryption part of the APCO P25 II standard?
Just pay the licensing and enable it?

Enlighten me......
P25 II comes standard, at least on the SDS series radios, it's services like NXDN and DMR ya gotta pay for.

If only the fentanyl was as dangerous as they say, there be less substance abusers, I don't believe in the term addicts, they choose to abuse drugs
Duh, most alcoholics and drug users make a conscious willful and goal-directed decision to use. The term "addict" is a bit archaic.

If you disagree about the contention that fentanyl is dangerous, please, make a You Tube featuring yourself playing with an 8 ball with bare hands. If you really want to see if it is dangerous, maybe try some yourself. LOL.

Washington State Patrol is using their 700MHZ P25 system in the Puget Sound Area (King and Pierce counties) as their main system, It appears to me that they are simulcasting on there VHF frequencies 155.58 P25, and 154.68 P25, and patching on the Justice United system, Washington State Patrol D2 North King talk group 59209 only at this time, no trunking that I know of in other parts of Washington State. No encryption at this time!!

Most people who hang here, especially you long time users, know way more than the average guy on the street. Scanning is a whole lot different than "back in the day". So I have to wonder, if digital P25 alone is not as good as encryption to at least 75% of the people out there who only know analog?

The term is multicasting, sometimes what's on the 700mhz side is not multicasted onto conventional. I hear this in Olympia where sometimes the mobile side is not carried over on 154.920.
