State Wide Radio GPS Ranges

Just made an KML file for Google Earth showing all of the tower sites and the 25 mile range assigned to each. If you drive with a GPS attached to your scanner you will find lots of holes where nothing will scan. I'm currently working on revamping some of the sites so they will have larger circles. Does anybody have a more accurate set of range numbers for each tower? For now I guess I'll just have to make an educated guess.

OK I just discovered that it appears that 'FreeScan' does ranges in KM not Miles. So while my miles numbers above are correct they won't work for the range setting in 'FreeScan'.

Here are the conversions. Data is City followed by miles and then it's KM equivalent.

OK something is really off. When you enter the range in KM it looks right when you click on "View in Google..." yet the numbers don't add up. When I measure the county I'm trying to set the GPS for in Google Earth it comes up with a radius of 26.28 miles. When I enter 26.28 miles into 'FreeScan' it only covers about half of the county when you click on "View in Google...". So that would lead me to believe that 'range' in 'FreeScan' is not radius but diamater. Yet if you enter 52.56 (double the radius) it goes why to far. The number that winds up working in 'FreeScan' is 40 so it doesn't match anything that I can tell.

Anybody got any suggestions as to how to correctly enter 'range' measurements?
