No "Burn Ban" will ever be able to replace people's common sense on when to burn, and when NOT to burn. If people don't have the good sense to not try and burn stuff in 30mph winds then I don't think that a "ban" will deter them much.

It may not always work, but the way I look at it, the purpose of a bun-ban is to help "challenged "Oklahomans by having big brother step in and tell them "hey dummy, it's not a good idea to start a fire right now". For those that don't get that hint, we've got teaching methods
