The mention of CB Channel 6 is interesting. I’ve heard stories about “bleed over” before, but nothing quite this intense. Could this be some kind of RF overmodulation?

the intensity is what got me
the broadcast ended after three days- they did some sort of countdown after a monolog about how they'd never be caught? haven't heard anything since, but we switched to using a much smaller fan for the noise. I still need to find one to move a little air around so I can sleep comfortably, but the big fan has been repurposed

very strange, dr. demento vibes... but I'm convinced it was VERY local due to the train whistle being sampled and then mixed into the last broadcast. Theres a school owned sports arena walking distance from here, and I'm wondering if there's a broadcast tower set up there with the PA system they use
The timing couldn't have been worse for me, a few days after my father died and suddenly I'm being tortured by my appliances talking to me... at one point they just played a laugh track for 90 minutes straight

for a little bit there I was convinced my wife was going to have me shipped off to the loony bin.

I had heard music through that fan before, fairly regularly, and everyone thought I was nuts so I stopped telling people about it... but it was obviously some sort of radio station

now that the broadcast has ended there's nothing for me to hunt down, so I guess this thread is over. It happens to coincide with school summer vacation so maybe it'll kick back up in the fall.

Not in my house, it's just the two of us and my wife says she can't hear it

During this broadcast when she was falling asleep I heard her repeat several words that came from said broadcast- so I'm thinking her brain is just filtering it out when she's awake, the same way she just filters out anything I say as her husband

Early on in this thread I mentioned my fathers aunt or some such hearing a local broadcast in her refrigerator, and he recorded it to cassette tape. he told me he found it a few months ago, but since his death I'll likely never get my hands on that tape.
